Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate student from any recognized Indian institution (UGC/AICTE approved).
• Open to all disciplines and colleges across India.
• Not eligible: Students in distance learning/correspondence, on sabbatical, not yet started their academic year, or who have already graduated.

Competition Structure

• 10 National Winners: Receive ₹2 lakh each plus exclusive Tata Trails experience, certificates, and more.
• Fast-track Interview: Top performers are eligible for direct interviews for the TAS (Tata Administrative Services) program (subject to criteria).
• Mentorship: Receive guidance from Tata leaders and an “Idea Buddy” mentor during the finalist phase.

How to Prepare

• Read the Idea Guidebook: Tata provides a downloadable guide to help you refine your concept and structure your pitch.
• Focus Your Idea: Choose a topic with clear, impactful value, business, social, tech, sustainability, or everyday problem-solving.
• Sharpen Your Skills: Practice quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and Tata Group business knowledge for the online quiz.
• Communicate Clearly: Your 2-minute pitch video should state the problem, your solution, its impact, and why it matters, concise, structured, and authentic.
• Use Official Resources: Attend webinars, practice sessions, and check out the Tata challenge’s masterclasses, which are announced for eligible students.

3. Take the practice quiz and wait for Round 1 (the official quiz window). Last day 24 Aug 2025
4. Continue to progress as you clear each round!
